MAGNESIUM EDUCATION
Magnesium isn’t just a nice to have in your health routine, it’s essential. However, 20-30% of people are deficient in the mineral. The risk of not getting enough magnesium on a daily basis can result in frequent headaches, persistent body discomfort, and other health issues.
Here’s the good news: you can increase your magnesium levels and keep your body performing at its peak by using transdermal or topical magnesium. Here’s how magnesium can help you feel your best and keep moving at the speed of life.
Magnesium is a vital mineral that plays a role in numerous body processes. It’s involved in over 300 biochemical reactions including energy production, DNA and protein synthesis, and muscle and nerve function. Magnesium is also important for maintaining the immune system, keeping the heartbeat steady, and promoting strong bones. Despite its importance, millions of people don’t get enough magnesium from diet alone, that’s where topical magnesium can help.
Magnesium chloride (MgCl2) is commonly used in topical applications like magnesium spray because of its ability to absorb quickly into the skin. Our magnesium chloride products are sourced from pristine seawater off the coast of British Columbia. This natural magnesium source offers 40 essential trace minerals and none of the chemicals, toxins, or contaminants found in less pure sources like the Dead Sea or salt mines.
Topical magnesium has many benefits that support total body well-being. Research has shown that spraying topical magnesium on your feet or skin may promote deeper sleep, leaving you feeling refreshed the next morning. Other scientific studies have shown topical magnesium’s benefits for supporting long-lasting relaxation. Magnesium has also been shown to increase skin hydration while calming common skin issues. No matter how you use topical magnesium, you’ll experience its incredible benefits from head to toe, and be glad you gave it a try!
There are endless ways to use topical magnesium like improving sleep, recovery, and the appearance of the skin. Simply spray 5-10 times on your desired area, massage it in, and experience powerful results within 20 minutes. You can also make a foot or full-sized bath by adding 4-8 ounces (100mL to 250mL) of our magnesium chloride products to a foot basin or bathtub. Give it a mix, sit back, and relax.
FAQs

A: Magnesium is a naturally occurring mineral found in many natural environments. Large amounts of magnesium are found in seawater, underground brines, and salt deposits, and in the Earth's crust. It’s also found in foods like leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.
A: Magnesium deficiency, also known as hypomagnesemia, can show up in a number of ways, some of which may be subtle or easily overlooked. Common signs include frequent headaches, body tension, or cramps. Severe deficiencies may lead to more serious conditions, such as heartbeat irregularities, numbness, tingling, and mood changes.
A: Magnesium plays a crucial role in athletic performance and recovery. Magnesium’s electrolyte properties help ensure proper muscle function, reduce fatigue, and enhance overall athletic performance.
A: Magnesium chloride (MgCl2) and magnesium sulfate (MgSO4) are two different forms of magnesium. Magnesium chloride is commonly used in topical applications like magnesium spray due to its high bioavailability and effective transdermal absorption. Magnesium sulfate, known as Epsom salt, is often used for baths and foot soaks. Both forms provide magnesium, but they differ in their absorption rates, uses, and specific health benefits.
A: Both forms of magnesium are important. However, transdermal magnesium spray is applied topically to the skin and is easily absorbed into the bloodstream. Unlike oral magnesium supplements, which must pass through the digestive system and may have limited absorption rates, magnesium spray bypasses the digestive process, allowing for rapid absorption and utilization by the body. This transdermal delivery method ensures that magnesium is absorbed efficiently, delivering its benefits quickly and effectively.
A: Magnesium spray may support better sleep quality. Magnesium is involved in the regulation of the body's circadian rhythm and the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles. By enhancing magnesium levels, magnesium spray can help regulate sleep patterns, reduce nighttime awakenings, and improve overall sleep duration and quality.
A: Magnesium spray can improve the appearance of the skin when applied topically. Magnesium plays a role in promoting skin hydration and supporting the function of the skin barrier. Regular use of magnesium spray may help improve the appearance of the skin, reduce redness, and promote a healthy-looking complexion.
A: While our Magnesium Spray is a 100% natural product, the concentration of magnesium of each batch may vary slightly. That said, we test every batch and can ensure that every bottle contains 40-60mg/mL of Magnesium
A: As the spray is composed of a variety of different salts, including MgCl, it's possible that the sprayer can become clogged from time to time in between long period without use. To fix this, try the following steps:
1. Confirm the sprayer is in the 'unlocked' position (the push button underneath the trigger, just above the neck)
2. If it is unlocked, it is possible the sprayer is clogged. To fix this, unscrew the sprayer from the bottle. Fill a bowl with hot water. Dip the end of the sprayer tube in the bowl, and pump vigorously for about a minute or so. If clogging is the issue, this should unclog it.
3. If it is unlocked, it is possible the sprayer is clogged, as the solution can crystallize in between long periods of no use. To fix this, unscrew the sprayer from the bottle. Fill a bowl with hot water. Dip the end of the sprayer tube in the bowl, and pump vigorously for about a minute or so. If clogging is the issue, this should unclog it.
